Prohibition of Harassment & Discrimination
SWC is committed to providing an academic and work environment free of discrimination & harassment.
All complaints of unlawful discrimination or harassment, including disability discrimination and sexual misconduct, are filed with the Human Resources Compliance Coordinator in the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources under Administrative Procedure (AP) 3430 - Prohibition of Harassment & Discrimination. This procedure describes the process for investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful discrimination, including sexual misconduct, by or against any employee or student.
Most complaints, grievances or disciplinary matters can be resolved at the campus level. This is the quickest and most successful way of resolving issues involving a California Community College (CCC).
You are encouraged to work through the campus complaint process first before escalating issues to any of the following resources. Issues that are not resolved at the campus level may be filed using the State Complaint Process. For more information visit the Chancellors Office website.
